The Lions defeated Knights of Columbus in the opening round.

Kiwanis used the pitching of Matt Hill to defeat the Lions 7-5 and move to the title game. Keith Thigpen homered for Kiwanis.

Bob's reached the finals by defeating the Eagles.

Kiwanis captured the city title with an 8-2 victory over Bob's Surplus. Sal Lombardo pitched a two hitter and struck out 12. Lombardo went three for four including a home run. Jeff Muzio had a two run homer for Bob's.

District Nine Tournament
Marty Spallone pitched the Westfield All Stars to a 9-7 Victory over Middlefield. Westfield scored all of their runs in the fifth frame. Darren Fleck had three hits. Stan Skarb, JIm Fillion, and Tony Boyle each had two hits.

Gary Waters pitched the Spencer All Stars to a 12-4 win over Durham. Jeff Muzio and Chris Bonnier each had two hits for the winners. Kevin Gollarney had a big hit in the second.

Guilford used the one hit pitching of Charlie Mullin to shutout the Pat Kidney All Stars 11-0. Billy Wilson had the lone Pat Kidney hit.

Haddam blanked the Bernie O'Rourke All Stars 4-0. Norm Manemeit and Vinnie Chester had the O'Rourke hits.

Tony Silverio had two hits, including a home run, and five RBIs as Westfield defeated East Haddam 12-2 at Moody. Marty Spallone homered. Stan Skarb had three hits. Kyle Skene was the winning pitcher.

The Spencer All Stars advanced to the semifinals with a 5-3 win over Cromwell. A two run single by Scott Stachelek in the fourth drove in the deciding runs. Gary Waters and Carl Erlacher led the offense. Waters and Bob Jenak each had two hits. Jeff Muzio and Carl Erlacher pitched for Spencer.

In the playdown game Moose was eliminated by Madison in Madison 8-5. Danny White and Eddie Cienava had three hits apiece for Moose. Tutti Lombardo homered.

A three run homer by Carl Erlacher in the sixth inning lifted the Spencer All Stars to a 7-4 win over East Hampton. Gary Waters was the winning pitcher. He struck out six and walked four. Waters had two hits. Jeff Muzio and Chris Bonnier each homered for Spencer.

Guilford scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to defeat the Westfield All Stars 10-9 at Moody. Westfield trailed 8-3 after five innings. They scored six runs in the sixth. Big hit was Kovach's grand slam. Kovach, Fillion and Spallone each had two hits.

Sean Anderson pitched a two hitter as Guilford captured another District Nine title with a 9-2 victory over the Spencer All Stars at Lawrence School. Anderson struck out twelve but walked 11. As a result Spencer left 12 runners on base. Kenny MacGlashan had a three run homers in the fifth. Gary Waters and Stuckey had the Spencer hits. Jeff Muzio was the losing pitcher. He struck out seven and walked one.
