Once upon a time ...

The top two teams in the Moose and O'Rourke-Kidney Leagues meet in a single elimination tournament.

In the opening round, the second place OK team, Catholic War Veterans upsets the Moose's first place Eagles 6-5.Demont Highsmith won the game with 14 strikeouts. Aaron Pope of Eagles recorded 13 strikeouts.

The Lions beat Exchange 4-3. Kelly Robinson pitched the Lions over Exchange and pitcher Joey Schuberth.

The Lions win their second City title in three years with a 7-5 win over the Catholic War Veterans at Snow School. Duane Seld was winning pitcher, Joe Nosal pitched for CWV. Managers were Bobby Hyman of Lions and John Jackson of CWV.

Ahern Whalen Senior League All-Stars, managed by Steve Ladd, win the State Championship.
