Once upon a time ...

Page & Warner returned to the City Championship and claimed the title by sweeping Burger King in two exciting games.

In the first game, Orlando Casserino scored in the seventh inning to give Page & Warner an 8-7 victory. Justin Tokarz, Marco Roberts, and Adam Boccalatte each had two hits for the winners. Tryon Hancock had three hits and Nick Ostrum two for Burger King.

In Game Two, Page & Warner rallied for three runs in bottom of sixth inning to capture the championship 3-2. Burger King scored two in the third on singles by Julian Santos, Paul Ferguson, and Jason Pistorino. In the sixth Adam Boccalatte, Justin Tokarz, and Orlando Casserino scored as Page & Warner pulls out the game and the City Title.

In both games, Orlando Casserino has scored the winning run, but it seems to run in the family. His dad pitched in the 1965 title game for the victorious VFW. In 1970, his Uncle Larry was the winning pitcher for VFW in the City Championship Game.

Another great year for the 75ers from Middletown American Legion !
