Once upon a time ...

Middletown Little League celebrates its 50th anniversary season with over 80 teams and 1200 children from ages 5-18 taking part. Over 100 business sponsors and 600 volunteers make the 50th season a reality. Thanks to all who've helped over the years !!!!

Westfield Fire Department, OK Champs, defeat Frank's Sunoco, the Moose Champions, two games to one to claim the 1997 City Series.

Frank's got into the final behind the pitching of Jarett Pierce, who only gave up a fourth inning single to Kyle Brostek, as Frank's defeated regular season champion Vidiconn Video 1-0 in the Moose League playoff game.

In District Nine tournament action the Moose League lost to Westbrook 5-0 and Portland 8-5.
