1. Communicating - Represent the Needs and Interests of Parents

    a. Exchange Concerns with School Staff at Monthly PTA Meetings
    b. Be Represented in the Search for Administrative Candidates at MHS
    c. Participate in the Governance Advisory Committee
    d. Keep Parents Aware of Issues Regarding MHS
2. Advocacy - Be an Advocate in the Community for Issues Related to Quality Education
    a. Express Support for Ample School Funding at City and State Levels
    b. Be a Voting Member of the Middletown School Association
    c. Participate in the Process of Developing New High School Facilities
    d. Membership in the Connecticut PTA and the National PTA
3. Students - Recognize and Reward Student Achievement
    a. Quiet Kudos
    b. Senior Art Award
    c. Awards to Two Graduating Seniors
    d. Maintaining the Accomplishments of the Students on the Brag Board
    e. Mini-Grants to Support Other Worthy Student Activities
4. Volunteering - Implement Programs to Improve Communication among Parents,
    Students and School Staff
    a. Expand Volunteer Community Service Programs
    b. Recognize Staff with Various Hospitality Events
    c. Work with Staff to Provide Orientation for Freshmen and their Parents
    d. Provide Opportunities for Teamwork, such as Christmas in April
5. Parenting - Increase Parent/Staff/Community Involvement in the PTA
    a. Increase Membership to Include Parents of Current Students, Vo-Ag Students, Parents of Alumni and School Staff
    b. Improve Communication with Other Existing Parent Groups within the School
