vs. Cheshire at Legion Field, Meriden
Kevin Sinagra pitched 6 strong innings and Kevin Brostek pitched a scoreless seventh as Middletown
won the Zone 3 tournament defeating Chesire 8-2 on a perfect day for baseball in Meriden. Emilio
Magano led the sparkling defense played by the Middletown nine and key hits flew off the bats of
Sinagra, Tyler LaMontagne and Eric Hewitt as Middletown came back from an early 2-0 deficit.
The win, coupled with Stamford's loss in the Zone 4 final, gave Middletown the overall #1 seed in
the upcoming State tournament.
