SCRIP is a term that means "substitute money". When you purchase scrip, you are purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, gas and other essentials as well as toys, luxury items, gifts and services. You receive full face value of the card and with every purchase, you earn revenue for the MHS Booster Club since it receives a percentage of the sale. SCRIP is "shopping cart fundraising". You buy prepaid cards to the various stores and restaurants that you would normally patronize. You receive the full amount of what you paid and the Booster Club receives a percentage of the sale.
